How much does Appointful cost per month?
Appointful starts at just £45/month for 1 staff member. For 2 staff it's £60/month, for 3 staff it's £80/month. After that, each additional staff member is only £10/month. If you have multiple locations, each additional location is £10/month.
Is there a setup fee or contract?
No setup fees whatsoever, and no contracts. You can cancel anytime with no penalties. We believe in earning your business every month through great service, not locking you into long-term commitments.
What about SMS reminders - how much do they cost?
SMS reminders are charged separately at wholesale cost, which is approximately 3p per text message. Most businesses spend £5-15 per month on SMS, depending on appointment volume. Email reminders are completely free and unlimited.
Can I change my plan if my business grows?
Absolutely. You can add or remove staff members anytime. The system automatically adjusts your pricing. If you add staff mid-month, we prorate the cost fairly. It's completely flexible as your business changes.
Are there any transaction fees?
There are no transaction fees from Appointful. If you use online payments, standard payment processor fees apply (typically around 1.5-2.9% + 20p per transaction). You can also choose to not use online payments and have clients pay in person.
How long does it take to set up Appointful?
Most businesses are up and running in 10-15 minutes. You'll create your account, add your services with prices, set your working hours, and you're ready to take bookings. We have a simple setup wizard that guides you through everything.
Do I need any special equipment or software?
No special equipment needed. Appointful works on any device with a web browser - your phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer. There's nothing to download or install. Just log in and start using it.
Can I import my existing client data?
Yes. You can import your client list via CSV file. We also provide tools to manually add clients, or they can create their own accounts when they first book with you. Our support team can help with data migration if needed.

What happens if a client needs to cancel?
Clients can cancel or reschedule from their confirmation email or SMS. You set your cancellation policy - for example, require 24 hours notice. Late cancellations can forfeit deposits if you choose, protecting your revenue.
Can I manage multiple staff members' calendars?
Yes. Each staff member gets their own calendar. You can view all schedules together or individually. Staff can set their own working hours, breaks, and time off. Clients can choose their preferred staff member or book with the first available.
